Don Wardlow, baseball's first blind broadcaster and host of The Baseball Lifer podcast is back to discuss several baseball topics. We get a preview of the College World Series. We also discuss the Mets Phillies series in London as well as the Yankees Dodgers series that both took place last weekend. We take a look at the standings and the suspension of five baseball players for gambling. We start the episode on discussing some late breaking news regarding Royce Lewis, who had suffered a quad strain at the beginning of the season. We then get into the episode that was recorded earlier where we discussed meeting an interesting person at the ballpark. We then discussed the play of the Twins over the past three weeks. Willy Castro made some boneheaded plays against the New York Yankees. Jhoan Duran made some comments regarding pitch selection that make us ask if Manager Rocco Baldelli has lost control of the team. We touched on some of the other Twins injuries. We also take a look at the standings as well as discussing some other baseball topics including the possibility of having a hundred stolen bases by a player this season and robo umps not coming to the Major Leagues next season.

The Twins are winners of ten in a row. My Dad and I start the episode off by discussing the recent play of the Twins. We discuss the latest injury to Byron Buxton and the return of some of the injured players such as Carlos Correa. Also, the Twins TV situation takes a turn, possibly for the worse the rest of the season as Bally Sports channels are currently not available to Comcast subscribers. Later on, Bob Branco, a Boston Red Sox fan and the host of a show called Sports Round Table joins the show to break down the Red Sox.

The Minnesota Twins are 6-11 to start the season. On this episode, we break down the slow start. We discuss the dismal hitting and inconsistent pitching. We also give updates on some of the injuries including Royce Lewis, Carlos Correa and Max Kepler. Towards the end of the show, we tried to figure out why there are so many Tommy John injuries to pitchers.

The Minnesota Twins have started their 2024 season. However, there are several injuries to the team including the fact Royce Lewis suffered a quad injury in the season opener. My Dad and I discuss the injuries to Lewis and several key bullpen arms. We break down the 4-1 win over the Kansas City Royals in the opener. We also make our predictions as to who will contend in Major League baseball.

With the Minnesota Twins in Spring Training, we have a lot of Twins news to get caughtt up on. We give an update on the signings the Twins made since the end of January and the trade of Jorge Polanco to the Seattle Mariners. We also give updates on the performances on some of the players in camp including Byron Buxton. Also, we give a run down of who will be on the roster come opening day.

It was announced earlier this week that Joe Mauer was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown. Join my Dad and I as we discuss Mauer's career and compare it to other catchers. We also mention that the Twins have inducted two more members into their hall of fame. With little activity so far this offseason, we try to figure out what will the Twins do in free agency and will they trade?

On this episode, My Dad joins me in studio. We addressed some of the key areas the Twins need to address this offseason. We give updates on some of the injured players including Byron Buxton who had surgery on his knee. We also address the Twins tv contract situation and what that means for the Twins going forward. Towards the end of the show, we address some of the new managerial hires in MLB.

After some postseason success, the Twins offense was feeble in games three and four at Target Field, resulting in the Houston Astros moving on to the ALCS. We break down what led to this feeble offensive effort. We also discussed some of what the Twins need to do this offseason and the fact they need to change their approach at the plate as far as hitting. The performances of the other teams were discussed and we predicted who will be in the World Series.

The Twins have swept the Toronto Blue Jays in two games in the Wild Card round of the MLB playoffs. We dive into some of the highlights from this series including the performance of Royce Lewis during game one at the plate. We also discuss a couple of big defensive gems in the seeries by shortstop Carlos Correa. We then preview the upcoming Divisional round series with the Houston Astros.
